Moderate to Heavy Thunderstorms Forecasted Across Several Regions in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds are expected to cause flash floods in parts of Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, dust-stirring winds are also anticipated to affect parts of Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah regions. Meanwhile, temperatures are predicted to remain hot to extremely hot in the Eastern Region.

Winds over the Red Sea will vary, with southeasterly to southwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 10-25 km/h in the northern and central parts, and westerly to northwesterly winds at speeds of 25-50 km/h in the southern part. Waves in the Red Sea are expected to range from half a meter to two and a half meters, making the sea conditions calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will shift from southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds of 15-34 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, resulting in relatively calm sea conditions.
