Jeddah: Weather forecasts for Sunday indicate moderate to heavy rainfall in several regions, potentially leading to flash floods.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology predicts these conditions will affect Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, and Eastern regions. There is also a possibility of hail and dust-stirring winds in these areas. Meanwhile, areas such as Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Riyadh can expect light to moderate rain, with fog formation also anticipated.
Winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, reaching speeds of 18-38 km/h. In the southern part, winds will be southeasterly to southerly at speeds of 20-50 km/h, with waves ranging from one to over two meters, making the sea choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, the northern part will experience southeasterly to southerly winds at speeds of 12-50 km/h. The central and southern parts will see winds shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly, and then to northwesterly to northerly in the evening, at speeds of 10-25 km/h. Waves will vary from half a meter to over two meters, with sea conditions described as calm to choppy.
