Riyadh: Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi met with UN Women Executive Director Sima Sami Bahous and her accompanying delegation. The meeting focused on several key topics, including Saudi Arabia's upcoming presidency of the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance the status of women, consistent with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative seeks to empower women across various sectors and improve their participation in the workforce.
Both parties emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. They also expressed a commitment to strengthening cooperation with UN Women through joint programs and projects aimed at supporting women's empowerment and economic participation.
