Jeddah: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has launched the Emirates Shipping Line's EIX service to enhance connectivity between Saudi Arabia and key markets in Egypt, Trkiye, and India. With a capacity of 1,800 TEUs, the new service will connect Jeddah Islamic Port to key ports in India (Mundra), Egypt (Alexandria), and Trkiye (Mersin and Iskenderun). According to Saudi Press Agency, this strategic move aligns with Saudi Arabia's National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub. By improving port efficiency and expanding international trade routes, Mawani is driving economic growth and supporting the nation's exports and imports.
