Jeddah: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new Red Sea to India (RESIN) shipping service, operated by SeaLead, to Jeddah Islamic Port. This service supports national exports and strengthens the port's competitive position regionally and globally. According to Saudi Press Agency, the new shipping service connects Jeddah Islamic Port to four regional and international ports: Nhava Sheva in India, Sokhna in Egypt, Djibouti, and Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates, with a carrying capacity of up to 1,000 standard containers. This initiative aligns with Mawani's strategy to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's maritime connectivity with global markets, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. The strategy seeks to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a key gateway linking three continents, thereby boosting its regional and global competitiveness. Jeddah Islamic Port is one of the most vital ports on the Red Sea, offering hig h capacity and advanced logistical services. It plays a central role in supporting import and export activity and in strengthening the Kingdom's position in global supply chains.
