Market Value of Camels at Crown Prince Festival Nears SAR250 Million

Riyadh: The market value of the camels competing in the final rounds of the 2025 Crown Prince Camel Festival has approached SAR250 million, with 100 camels participating. The seventh edition of the festival, organized by Saudi Camel Sports, began on September 2 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The competition featured a total of 249 rounds, with prize money exceeding SAR50 million.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the final four rounds, covering a distance of 24 kilometers, will be held today. Saudi Camel Sports Competition and Registry Manager Marwan Aljohani stated that the camels participating in the finals are considered the elite from the Kingdom, the Gulf region, and the Arab world. He mentioned that some camels are valued at up to SAR10 million, with none worth less than SAR2 million, adding that most have already won significant trophies in past festivals and championships.
