Makkah: Makkah Region branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has intensified its field inspection tours across the region and its governorates as part of early preparations for the holy month of Ramadan. The move aims to enhance compliance with approved regulations and raise the efficiency of health and environmental monitoring in public benefit markets and slaughterhouses.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign included intensive inspection visits to all markets and slaughterhouses in Makkah Region, during which inspectors verified the availability of agricultural commodities and products, contributing to meeting consumer needs during a season marked by increased demand.
The inspection tours also focused on monitoring the readiness of slaughterhouses and ensuring the implementation of the highest health and environmental standards by reviewing slaughter halls, facility cleanliness, and the safety of operational procedures, to ensure the quality of food products provided to consumers.
