Makkah Deputy Governor Honors King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Winners

Makkah: Under the patronage and on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz honored the winners of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran yesterday evening at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh highlighted that the competition stands as a testament to the Kingdom's dedication to serving the Holy Quran, supporting its memorizers, and uniting people through guidance and righteousness. He noted the increase in the number of winners from 12 to 50, along with the rise in total prize money from SAR1.1 million to over SAR10 million, as these enhancements reflect the Kingdom's commitment to honoring memorizers at major international Quranic events.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz honored the winners and members of the judging panel.
