Madinah Governor Launches SAR455 Million Industrial and Logistics Projects

Madinah: Madinah Region Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several new industrial, logistics, and development projects in the industrial city yesterday, valued at over SAR455 million. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) President Bandar Alkhorayef and MODON CEO Majed Al-Argoubi.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor emphasized that these new projects underscore the Saudi leadership's sustained support for the Kingdom's industrial cities, reinforcing industrial development and attracting high-quality investments. He highlighted the Madinah industrial city's strategic location and its rapid growth in factories and investment contracts, which directly support Saudi Vision 2030 goals to diversify the national economy and create quality opportunities for the region's citizens.

The substantial investments cover several critical areas. Three infrastructure development projects were inaugurated to improve the efficiency of basic services and enhance the city's readiness for investment, budgeted at a cost exceeding SAR367 million.

In addition, 16 new smart-designed warehouses, ranging from 860 to 1,000 square meters, were inaugurated, budgeted at over SAR15 million. This is part of a larger project that will feature 46 warehouses covering 100,000 square meters to meet logistics needs.

The foundation stone was laid for 20 new ready-built factories, each 1,500 square meters, budgeted at over SAR50 million. This development is part of a major project covering 190,000 square meters, designed to empower male and female entrepreneurs.

The launch of a human-centered project for the industrial city, budgeted at over SAR22 million, was announced. It includes building a mosque and enhancing the aesthetic lighting of the mountains, aiming to develop industrial cities and improve the quality of life within them.
