Beirut: The Republic of Lebanon has strongly condemned and rejected the Israeli prime minister's statements calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing its support for the Kingdom in confronting any threats to its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants reiterated its rejection of any attempts to displace or resettle Palestinians, particularly in Lebanon. The ministry urged efforts toward a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause based on the two-state solution under international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative adopted at the 2002 Beirut Summit, which would enhance regional and international peace and security.
