Lebanese receives largest Egyptian relief aid shipment

Lebanese authorities on Monday received the largest shipment of Egyptian relief aid coming from Damietta upon directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The 487.5-ton shipment, the largest by Egypt since the Beirut harbor explosion, includes foodstuffs, medications for Covid-19 and chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart and diabetes, medical supplies and other basic needs.

Egypt’s Ambassador to Lebanon Dr Yasser Elwi, General Consul Ahmed Imam, Lebanese Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi, Health Minister Feras El Abyad and Director of Beirut harbor Mohamed Kheir attended the handover ceremony of the

shipment.
