KSrelief’s Masam Project Achieves Milestone in Clearing Mines in Yemen

Riyadh: The "Masam" project of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for clearing mines in Yemen successfully removed 1,231 mines across various regions of the country during the period from March 28 to April 3. The effort included the removal of 49 anti-tank mines, nine anti-personnel mines, and 1,173 unexploded ordnance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this achievement brings the total number of mines cleared since the launch of the Masam project to 552,420. These mines were indiscriminately planted across Yemeni lands, posing a threat to the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

Through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear mines from Yemeni territories under a project that enhances civilian safety and enables the Yemeni people to live in a safe and dignified environment.
