KSrelief to Install Water Desalination Plant at Mogadishu’s Banadir Hospital

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with a civil-society institution to establish a water desalination station at the kidney dialysis center of Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu. The initiative in the Somali capital will benefit 270 individuals. The KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al Baiz, signed the agreement at the center's headquarters in Riyadh. The Head of KSrelief's Health and Environmental Aid Department, Abdullah Al Moallem, said the desalination plant will be added to the well of the kidney dialysis center at Banadir Hospital, and the staff will receive training on it. The aim of the project is to provide water suitable for drinking and general human consumption, Al Moallem noted. He further emphasized that the agreement is part of the Kingdom's humanitarian and relief efforts through its dedicated humanitarian arm, KSrelief, aimed at assisting needy and affected individual s worldwide.
