KSrelief Signs Cooperation Agreement with World Food Program to Provide Food Aid in South Sudan

Paris: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a joint cooperation agreement with the World Food Programme yesterday. The agreement aims to provide emergency food aid to those in dire need and suffering from food insecurity in South Sudan.

The signing ceremony took place in Paris on the sidelines of the international conference for Sudan and neighboring countries organized by France and the European Union.

The agreement was signed by the Advisor at the Royal Court and the Supervisor General of the KSrelief, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, and the World Food Program Executive Director, Cindy McCain.

The primary objective of the agreement is to prevent malnutrition among children under the age of two and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers by providing access to food and health assistance. This initiative will benefit 6,265 individuals.

This effort is an extension of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom through the Center to support needy and aff
ected people and promote food security in various parts of the world in collaboration with specialized UN agencies.
