The school will initially receive 1,000 male and female students and provide 32 job opportunities for teachers, with its capacity expected to increase to 4,000 students in a later phase.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the opening was attended by representatives of national and international educational institutions, local organizations, and community figures. Head of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage in Gaza Dr. Issam Abu Khalil said the opening of the school supports the continuation of the educational process and provides children with a safe and stimulating educational environment.
Director of Education in eastern Khan Younis Dr. Ibrahim Ramadan said the school represents an important step toward rebuilding the education sector and resuming the educational process. He expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, for its humanitarian efforts in supporting the Palestinian people, stressing that education is a message of life and the foundation for building the future.
The project reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's continued humanitarian efforts, through KSrelief, to support the Palestinian people, particularly in the education sector, and to improve the living conditions of affected people and strengthen their resilience.
