General

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a joint executive program with a civil-society organization aimed at improving the nutritional conditions of the most vulnerable groups in Syria, specifically targeting children under five, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. This initiative focuses on areas with high needs and internally displaced communities within Deir ez-Zor, Hama, Homs, and Aleppo.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is designed to deliver integrated preventive and therapeutic nutrition services conducted by trained and qualified teams. These efforts are expected to directly benefit 242,000 individuals, while indirectly impacting an additional 403,000 people. The signing of the agreement took place at the KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh, officiated by Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, the Assistant Supervisor-General for Operations and Programs.

The comprehensive program plans to upgrade nutrition clinics within existing health facilities, which includes the provision of essential furniture and medical equipment, the operation of these clinics, enhancement of staff capabilities, and the implementation of community awareness activities.

This initiative underscores the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment, through KSrelief, to bolster the health sector and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian populace.
