KSrelief Launches Cardiac Surgery and Catheterization Initiative in Nouakchott

Nouakchott: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has launched a voluntary medical project for cardiac surgery and catheterization in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This initiative is part of the Kingdom's ongoing humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of patients and those in need worldwide.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project will run until September 25 and focuses on cardiac surgery and catheterization procedures. A team of 18 specialized medical volunteers is involved in carrying out these critical medical procedures.

KSrelief's volunteer medical team has successfully performed 11 open-heart surgeries and 41 cardiac catheterization procedures. Additionally, the team has conducted one transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), showcasing their expertise and dedication to the project.

This initiative underscores the Kingdom's commitment, through KSrelief, to delivering essential medical services to communities in need and enhancing the quality of life for patients in Mauritania.
