Damascus: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has implemented the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program in Damascus, Syria, aimed at combating blindness and eye diseases. The program was conducted from January 31 to February 8, 2026, with the involvement of four volunteers from different medical specialties.
According to Saudi Press Agency, since the commencement of the campaign, the volunteer medical team from KSrelief has examined 2,100 beneficiaries. They dispensed 451 prescription eyeglasses and performed 212 cataract-removal surgeries, all of which were successfully completed.
This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief projects executed by the Kingdom through KSrelief, which aims to support the medical sector and assist patients suffering from eye diseases in brotherly and friendly countries.
