Al-hofuf: Governor of Al-Ahsa Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr inaugurated the Lyali Al-Qaysaria Festival 2026 yesterday at the historic Al-Qaysaria Souq in Al-Hofuf. The governor's inauguration marks the beginning of a series of events designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Al-Ahsa.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor toured the market and observed various activities, including folk arts, performances, community gatherings, traditional games, and interactive experiences. These activities are set to highlight Al-Ahsa's cultural heritage, showcasing its historical significance to both residents and visitors.
Prince Saud emphasized the historical importance of Al-Qaysaria Souq, noting its over 200-year history. The souq is considered a significant economic, social, and cultural asset within the governorate.
He also pointed out that the festival is expected to boost tourism and strengthen Al-Ahsa's standing as a prominent cultural and tourist destination on both local and international levels.
