Riyadh: King Salman Science Oasis has launched a new play-based learning program on intelligence and skills as part of the “Math, The Language of Science” festival, in partnership with Makkah Region’s General Directorate of Education and Umm Al-Qura University.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program aims to develop the abilities of children and young people through an innovative mix of education, mental challenges, and interactive games. The festival, which runs until November 30, 2025, offers advanced scientific and educational content based on modern methods that employ educational games and intelligence- and thinking-based activities as effective tools for boosting personal and cognitive skills among the younger generation.
The program seeks to stimulate minds and develop skills in creative and engaging ways, enhancing learning speed, comprehension, creative thinking, and problem-solving, while also supporting self-awareness and essential life skills.
It focuses on several core skills, including quick-wittedness and intelligent response, strengthening short- and long-term memory through structured exercises, improving concentration and balanced thinking, developing motor coordination through creative activities, fostering systematic problem-solving based on analysis and experimentation, and encouraging creative thinking, imagination, and the formulation of innovative ideas.
