San Diego: King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is participating in the NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference and Expo, held in San Diego, California, from May 26 to 30, as part of an official delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Education, representing 12 Saudi universities. The delegation aims to promote academic programs and highlight investment opportunities in higher education across the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the global conference, attracting over 8,000 international education professionals from more than 100 countries, provides a crucial platform to elevate Saudi Arabia's presence in international education. The Ministry of Education seeks to highlight the Kingdom's advanced research capabilities, innovative academic environment, and strong commitment to global engagement.
KAU's participation focuses on its significant academic achievements, cutting-edge research initiatives, and prospects for international collaboration across scientific research, innovation, academic and student exchange, talent attraction, and joint program development. The university is also promoting initiatives under the "Study in Saudi Arabia" platform, designed to establish the Kingdom as a premier global education destination, according to a KAU press release.
President of King Abdulaziz University Dr. Tareef Al-Aama emphasized that higher education in Saudi Arabia is witnessing a transformative era, driven by the leadership's unwavering support and the strategic direction of the Ministry of Education aligned with Vision 2030. He noted that Saudi universities, and KAU in particular, have made significant strides in education, research, and innovation, boasting a strong record of patents, high-impact research, and qualified faculty contributing to the knowledge economy.
Dr. Al-Aama added that KAU's presence at NAFSA aims to cultivate international partnerships and globally promote its advanced academic offerings.
