King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Contestants Describe Final Qualifiers Near Kaaba as Great Honor

Makkah: Several participants in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran stated that reaching the finals, held at the Grand Mosque near the Holy Kaaba, is a source of pride and great honor. They noted that the participation of international judges alongside the implementation of the advanced electronic judging system represents a qualitative leap for the competition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, contestant Mohammed Al-Hassan from Canada praised the electronic judging system, which reflects the global nature of the competition, expressing his gratitude to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for its professional organization and great efforts.

Contestant Mohammed Jawa from Guinea-Bissau expressed his joy, saying, 'I am living the most beautiful moments of my life beside the Grand Mosque and with my fellow contestants from all over the world,' and that reaching this stage of the competition is a badge of honor, especially since it bears the name of King Abdulaziz and is held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He added that it has opened doors of hope for many Muslims around the world.

Additionally, contestant Abdulrahman Abdulmonim from Bosnia and Herzegovina praised the ministry for providing all services that create a spiritual atmosphere suited to this Quranic event, enabling participants to perform the finals with ease. He also pointed out that the electronic judging system in this edition is a remarkable advancement.

The ministry is organizing this competition under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, with the participation of 179 contestants from 128 countries in a solemn atmosphere of faith and spirituality inside the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
