Mecca: Participants in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran have praised Saudi Arabia's leadership for its commitment to the Holy Quran and expressed their great joy at the opportunity to compete inside the Grand Mosque.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event will run from August 9 to 20, featuring a record 179 contestants from 128 countries. Participants have expressed their readiness to compete and their pride in reciting the Holy Quran alongside an elite group of peers from around the world.
