Riyadh: Yesterday, 12 international professionals were crowned winners of the King Abdulaziz Cups in the Melwah competition at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025. The event, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, is being held at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and will continue until Saturday, attracting wide international participation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the international professionals' rounds featured 224 competing falcons. Bahraini falconers claimed four cups, while Emirati participants also secured four titles.
The festival brings together falconers from across the world, led by participants from the Gulf countries, alongside competitors from Spain, Italy, Ireland, Pakistan, and Syria. It continues to expand its global profile, having previously set three Guinness World Records as the world's largest falcon festival in terms of the number of participating falcons.
