Riyadh: The Saudi Charity Society for Liver Patients, known as Kabidak, has been a beacon of support for over 500,000 beneficiaries from different regions of the Kingdom since its inception in the Qassim Region in 1430 AH. Over the past 15 years, Kabidak has dedicated itself to aiding liver patients through a multitude of services.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the society's initiatives are broad, covering community awareness, therapeutic services, and comprehensive case studies in social, health, and psychological fields. A significant achievement for Kabidak has been facilitating 92 liver transplants, directly impacting the lives of those suffering from liver diseases.
Kabidak places a strong emphasis on raising awareness about liver diseases, advocating for prevention, and providing psychosocial support to patients and their families. These goals are pursued through a variety of educational programs, mobile clinics, early detection campaigns, and initiatives that promote liver donation, ensuring a holistic approach to liver health.
In a recent interview, Dr. Rashid Mohammed Abaalkhail, Deputy Chairman of the board of directors of Kabidak, highlighted the society's commitment to offering diagnostic and therapeutic services to both citizens and residents. He emphasized the society's collaboration with reference hospitals, aiming to deliver high-quality medical care to those in need.
