JIAT Clears Coalition Forces of Alleged Attack on Water Truck in Al-Baydha

Al-baydha: A statement was issued by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) regarding the allegation that the Coalition Forces targeted a water truck in Al-Baydha Governorate on 04/03/2019.

According to Saudi Press Agency, JIAT investigated the incident and reviewed all relevant documents, including air tasking orders, daily mission schedules, mission execution procedures, after mission reports, satellite images, and the rules of engagement of the Coalition Forces. Additionally, they assessed the provisions and principles of International Humanitarian Law and its customary rules. The assessment revealed that the Hariah dam, the alleged location of the incident, is situated north of Al-Baydha Governorate, though no specific coordinates were provided.

By scrutinizing the air missions carried out by the Coalition Forces on the date of the alleged incident, 04/03/2019, JIAT determined that no air missions were conducted in Al-Baydha Governorate on that day. Furthermore, a review of the daily mission schedules for both the day before and the day after the claimed date indicated that no air missions were executed in Al-Baydha Governorate on 03/03/2019 or 05/03/2019.
