Jeddah Entities Showcase Green Initiatives for Environment Week

Jeddah: During Environment Week, participating government, private, and non-profit entities in Jeddah showcased their initiatives to raise public awareness about environmental importance and promote sustainable practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Environmental Compliance was present at the event and highlighted the community's role in protecting the environment. They emphasized ensuring compliance with approved environmental standards and provided guidance on how to report violations.

Among the participating entities was the Vegetation Cover Development Foundation. This non-profit institution, established by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC), serves as the executive arm of the center.

At the event, the foundation presented nine approved initiatives. These initiatives align with the Saudi Green Initiative and integrate environmental protection, energy conversion, and sustainability programs.
