Jazan: Sixteen governorates from Jazan Region are participating in the 'This is Jazan' event at Jazan Festival 2026, each competing to captivate visitors with the finest displays of heritage and culture, reflecting the region's rich geographical and human diversity. The governorates presented their folk heritage through performing arts, traditional songs, and costumes unique to each area.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the mountainous governorates fascinated visitors with exhibits of ancient agricultural tools and demonstrations of traditional stone fortress construction methods. Coastal governorates highlighted their maritime heritage, including fishing and pearl diving traditions, while the plains governorates showcased traditional farming implements, measuring tools, and models depicting daily life and local housing.
The event also featured live demonstrations of traditional crafts, such as pottery, weaving, and the making of antique household items, providing visitors with an interactive experience that brings the past to life.
