Islamic Coalition Launches Training Program on Countering Online Recruitment Techniques

Nouakchott: The advanced training program organized by the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) began Monday in Nouakchott, Mauritania, under the title "Online Recruitment Techniques and How to Counter Them." The program is part of IMCTC's ongoing efforts to combat online recruitment methods used by terrorist organizations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is held as part of IMCTC's Sahel Countries Program and will continue until May 14. It involves the participation of officials, specialists, and experts from various fields, including security, media, education, and legislation. The initiative focuses on equipping participants with the necessary skills to identify and counter online recruitment tactics.

This program is one of over 230 training and awareness activities initiated by IMCTC in the Sahel countries. These activities are centered on enhancing intellectual security, media engagement, countering terrorism financing, and advancing military strategies. The primary objective is to develop sustainable national capabilities and reinforce intellectual resilience in environments susceptible to extremist ideologies.
