Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance continues to provide awareness and guidance services to pilgrims arriving via the Empty Quarter border crossing as part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to care for pilgrims and facilitate their Hajj rituals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, by Friday evening, Dhu al-Hijjah 3, 1446 AH, approximately 2,723 pilgrims had arrived through this border crossing. Following obligatory prayers at the border crossing mosque, 33 sermons on Hajj rulings were delivered to educate pilgrims and promote moderate Islamic values.
To facilitate access to religious knowledge, 8,787 printed awareness materials were distributed in multiple languages, alongside 2,109 identification cards containing quick response (QR) codes. These codes provide direct access to an electronic Islamic library featuring thousands of books in various languages, promoting concepts of moderation and balance.
Demonstrating Saudi hospitality, ministry staff welcomed pilgrims with incense and Saudi coffee, offering drinks and snacks in a warm and appreciative atmosphere. Additionally, 2,500 welcome gifts were distributed in cooperation with several advocacy and community awareness organizations, embodying the Kingdom's commitment to caring for pilgrims from the moment of their arrival.
