Islamic Affairs Ministry Organizes Ceremony to Honor Winners of Third International Quran Competition in the Balkans

Pristina: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attach© Office at the Saudi Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in collaboration with the Islamic Community in Kosovo and the Saudi Embassy in Albania, held a ceremony on Sunday to honor the winners of the third edition of the International Quran Competition for Balkan countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event in Kosovo's capital, Pristina, was sponsored by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, who also supervises local and international Quran competitions. The ceremony featured a documentary video that showcased the Kingdom's dedication to serving the Holy Quran and its followers. It emphasized the leadership's commitment to supporting and fostering initiatives that encourage youth to memorize the Quran.

The video also provided insights into the competition's journey over its three editions, including the organization of the current round's qualifiers. The total cost of organizing the competition and its accompanying activities exceeded SAR1.2 million, underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to supporting international Quran programs and reinforcing the presence of the Quran and its people in Muslim communities.
