Dakar: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance inaugurated the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Library at the Islamic Institute in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. The inauguration follows the completion of restoration and furnishing work, overseen by the Religious Attach© at the Saudi Embassy in the Republic of Senegal.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Director of the Islamic Institute Ahmed Saghir Ambe expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support of education in Senegal. He highlighted the significant role the library will play in facilitating access to knowledge and advancing scientific research for students and researchers.
Saudi Ambassador to Senegal Saad Abdullah AlNofaia praised the deep historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Senegal, highlighting over 65 years of fruitful cooperation across various sectors.
The library houses thousands of books and references covering Islamic doctrine, jurisprudence, language, history, and other disciplines. This makes it a valuable addition to the Islamic Institute in Dakar and a significant scholarly resource for promoting religious and intellectual culture among students and scholars in Senegal.
