Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance continues to implement its awareness and religious programs for the Hajj season 1446 AH through an extensive plan comprising over 125,000 religious activities that are being held at 998 mosques in Makkah and 68 mosques in Madinah, with an average of 2,132 activities conducted daily.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the programs aim to highlight the values of Islam, reinforce correct beliefs, and educate pilgrims on how to perform the rituals in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah. So far, a total of 79,697 activities have been carried out.
The efforts are supported by 1,700 scholars, preachers, and clerics stationed across various locations, including border crossings, Miqats, Hajj campaigns, and mosques. They offer religious guidance, respond to pilgrims' inquiries, and help ensure they perform Hajj rituals with understanding and peace of mind.
The ministry's efforts reflect its mission to promote moderation, connect rituals to their intended purposes, and raise awareness through diverse outreach tools.
