Islamic Affairs Ministry Conducts Over 39,000 Mosque Inspections in Makkah in December 2025

Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Makkah carried out 39,062 field inspections of mosques across the region during December 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor maintenance work and enhance the level of services provided at mosques.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the field inspections included evaluating the performance of maintenance, cleaning, and operation contractors in the city of Makkah, as well as following up on the implementation of periodic and preventive maintenance and cleaning work at mosques. The inspections were conducted by male and female inspectors, along with specialized field committees responsible for monitoring maintenance contractors.



These inspections come within the framework of the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the readiness of mosques, improving the quality of services provided to worshippers, and monitoring contractors’ compliance with approved standards, in a manner that achieves the highest levels of care for the houses of worship in Makkah Region and serves their visitors to the fullest extent.
