Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center’s (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 15 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with nine government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center has launched a public consultation project titled ‘Utility Corridor Planning Guidelines and Alternative Utility Installation Methods in Riyadh Region,’ which aims to address the overlap of existing infrastructure corridor networks and the impact on general traffic by evaluating alternative technical approaches, ensuring enhanced efficiency in utility infrastructure management, coordination, and sustainability. Public feedback on the projects will be accepted until February 5, 2026.

The Education and Training Evaluation Commission has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled ‘Updating the Regulations for Professional Licensing of Educational Positions.’ This project aims to enhance the quality of education and learning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and professionalizing teaching as a noble profession that requires care, motivation, and continuous development at all levels, while updating the regulatory framework underpinning the professional licensing processes for teachers. Public feedback on the project is open until February 6, 2026.

The release added that the Saudi Export Development Authority is seeking public feedback on a project titled ‘Re-export Regulations,’ which aims to regulate re-export operations and their related procedures so as to ensure the establishment of a supportive and enabling environment for re-export activities for local and international companies, thereby contributing to the achievement of the intended objectives and the development of stronger and more stable supply chains, in a manner consistent with the Kingdom’s obligations under international agreements and treaties. Public consultation on the project will remain open until February 21, 2026.

The introduction of draft regulations, publics, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. In addition, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
