Jeddah: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh received Pakistan's Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Zaman and his delegation, who are currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on several topics of mutual interest, with an emphasis on cooperation in Islamic affairs. Discussions included the exchange of expertise in dawah programs and efforts to promote moderation while combating extremism.
Al Alsheikh emphasized the strong, brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting their collaboration in various fields, particularly in Islamic endeavors. He pointed out that the Kingdom prioritizes initiatives that benefit the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, acknowledging the deep religious sentiment of the Pakistani people. This sentiment, he noted, necessitates further cooperation to enhance authentic Islamic brotherhood and strengthen the principles of moderation and tolerance.
In response, the Pakistani minister commended the Kingdom and its leadership for their unwavering support of Pakistan in multiple domains. He expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's continuous backing of religious, humanitarian, and development initiatives. He also acknowledged the Kingdom's role as a global model in promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence among different peoples, which he described as a source of pride and gratitude.
