International Labor Organization Elevates Status of Palestine at Conference

Riyadh: His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, welcomed the decision of the International Labor Organization (ILO) to raise the status of the State of Palestine to that of a "non-member observer state" during the 113th session of the International Labor Conference.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Mr. Al-Budaiwi emphasized that this development aligns with the international stance expressed by the United Nations General Assembly, which supports Palestine's pursuit of full membership in international organizations. He noted that this decision strengthens Palestine's position within the United Nations system.

Furthermore, Mr. Al-Budaiwi reiterated the unwavering support of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Palestinian people and their legitimate aspiration to establish an independent state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
