Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of ministers and government officials participating in the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), held in Riyadh. The meetings focused on expanding cooperation in the mining sector, developing strategic investment partnerships, enhancing industrial integration, and supporting global supply chains, in line with the forum's ambitious vision and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Alkhorayef met with Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the State of Qatar Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed. During their discussion, they explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the industry and mineral resources sectors, aiming to support pathways for industrial integration between the two countries.
Alkhorayef also engaged in talks with Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco Dr. Leila Benali. The focus was on expanding mining partnerships and areas of cooperation to enhance Saudi exports' access to African markets.
In an effort to strengthen mining cooperation with South American countries, Alkhorayef met with Minister of Mining of the Republic of Chile Aurora Williams. They reviewed prospects for advancing joint efforts in the mining sector and explored promising opportunities for mineral exploration, emphasizing the importance of developing joint investments and exchanging technical expertise between the two nations.
During a meeting with Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada Claude Guay, Alkhorayef discussed the growing Saudi-Canadian partnership in the mining sector. The conversation highlighted the role of Canadian companies leading the acquisition of mineral exploration licenses in the Kingdom and covered cooperation on financing solutions and mining technologies.
