Jeddah: Jeddah will host the opening round of the "E1" World Championship for electric powerboats, organized by the Saudi Water Sports and Diving Federation (SWSDF), in cooperation with the International Powerboating Federation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inaugural round of the two-day event, supervised by the Ministry of Sports and partnered with the Public Investment Fund (PIF), marks the first of seven environmentally friendly championship rounds, which will take place in seven different cities worldwide.
The competition will feature nine teams, attended by a distinguished lineup of electric powerboat owners. Each team consists of two drivers, one man and one woman, who alternate piloting the boat, adding an element of excitement and intense competition to the race on the waters of Jeddah.
