IMFC Deputies Convene for Fourth Meeting in Washington


Washington: The fourth meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) Deputies began on September 30, 2025, at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) main headquarters in Washington, DC.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening remarks, Deputy Chair of the IMFC Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif emphasized the importance of cooperation to ensure global financial stability and strong and inclusive economic growth. He also highlighted the fund’s importance at the center of the global financial safety net.

During the meeting, discussions covered the ‘Diriyah Declaration’ and the initiation of drafting guiding principles aimed at achieving consensus among members on IMF quota and governance reforms.

This is the fourth meeting under the Kingdom’s chairmanship of the IMFC, reflecting the Kingdom’s continued active role in leading the committee’s work and embodying its unwavering commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation and supporting joint efforts to achieve global economic stability and
growth.
