Al-baha: Online stores have become a vital pillar in the marketing and distribution of Al-Baha's renowned pomegranates. During the 14th edition of the Pomegranate Festival this year, five new online stores were launched, collectively selling more than 600 cartons of pomegranates each week. According to Saudi Press Agency, with every new pomegranate season, the number of digital outlets continues to grow in tandem with the festival's launch. These platforms have been warmly embraced by local farmers, receiving strong support to help them showcase and promote their produce to wider markets. Anwar Al-Zahrani, a land transport operator, told the Saudi Press Agency that he has been exporting Al-Baha pomegranates to various regions across the Kingdom for over five years. Using refrigerated trucks with a capacity of over 600 cartons each, he conducts two shipments per week, transporting more than 1,500 cartons in total through four dedicated vehicles. Al-Zahrani emphasized that the growing presence of online stor es and e-commerce applications has significantly boosted pomegranate exports. He attributed this success to improvements in logistics, packaging quality, and timely delivery, which have become key factors in meeting customer expectations. Festival attendee Khaled Al-Ghamdi expressed his appreciation for the integration of digital platforms in marketing Al-Baha pomegranates. He praised the innovative use of technology to promote the product beyond traditional sales methods, enabling it to reach all regions of the Kingdom and the wider GCC market.
