Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. Pilot Mohammed Al-Moghedi received Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Sareer at the coalition's headquarters in Riyadh. During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the coalition and the Maldives in combating terrorism and extremism.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ambassador was briefed on the key efforts led by the IMCTC, including initiatives and programs implemented across ideological, media, counterterrorism financing, and military domains. The IMCTC secretary-general commended the Maldives for its ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms.
The ambassador also praised the coalition's efforts in confronting extremist ideologies. He emphasized the importance of cooperation among member states and the continued exchange of expertise to further enhance collective counterterrorism capabilities.
