Riyadh: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) today concluded a specialized program titled 'Countering Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering,' aimed at enhancing the skills of Yemeni financial and regulatory professionals. The program was organized under the coalition's Binaa (Building) strategic initiative, which focuses on training programs to counter terrorism financing.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the five-day program at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh brought together 15 trainees representing Yemeni government institutions engaged in combating terrorism financing. Sessions covered key topics including international and national legal frameworks, sources and tools of financial crimes, detection and analysis techniques, and mechanisms for enhancing institutional and regional cooperation.
The program is part of a series of strategic initiatives launched by IMCTC under its comprehensive strategy to build institutional and human capacities in member states. The initiatives aim to help protect societies from terrorist threats and support regional and international efforts to boost security and sustainable stability.
