Riyadh: The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority: observed Global Recycling Day, marked annually on March 18, as part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness and strengthen sustainability practices to protect natural resources and preserve ecosystems within the reserve.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority emphasized that the occasion is an opportunity to promote the concept of a circular economy and encourage the community to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors that reduce waste and support resource reuse, contributing to environmental protection and improved quality of life.

It noted that the observance aligns with its awareness programs to foster sustainability and encourage community participation in protecting the environment, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

The authority stressed that environmental protection is a shared responsibility requiring collective efforts, noting that simple daily practices, such as recycling, can significantly reduce pollution and conserve natural resources.
