Abu dhabi: The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority is participating in the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, held in Abu Dhabi from October 9 to 15.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the congress is one of the world's largest environmental gatherings, bringing together global leaders and experts to discuss the future of biodiversity and sustainability solutions. The authority's participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to leading international efforts in nature conservation and environmental protection, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
At its pavilion within the event's exhibition, the authority is showcasing its pioneering environmental achievements in wildlife protection and ecosystem restoration. These efforts include planting over 775,000 seedlings, increasing vegetation cover to more than 9% within the reserve, and successfully reintroducing endangered species such as the Arabian oryx, sand gazelle, and red-necked ostrich.
