Riyadh: Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Al-Yamahi strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia targeting Najran Region, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilians, and the attacks targeting sites and units belonging to the Yemeni government forces in the governorates of Marib and Hadhramaut, which resulted in deaths and injuries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, Al-Yamahi affirmed that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law and emphasized the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen in confronting any aggression targeting their security, territorial integrity, and citizens.
He stated that the attacks represent a dangerous escalation that undermines regional and international de-escalation efforts, worsens the humanitarian crisis, and threatens a comprehensive political settlement in Yemen.
Al-Yamahi called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting civilians, putting an end to these attacks, and preventing their recurrence.
