Madrid: Executive Director of the International Dates Council (IDC) Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz visited the headquarters of the International Olive Council (IOC) in Madrid, where she and her accompanying delegation were received by IOC Executive Director Jaime Lillo and several officials, according to a press release issued by the IDC today.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, Princess Sarah was briefed on an overview of the IOC's history since its establishment more than 65 years ago and its role as an international organization representing nearly 90% of the world's olive producers, with 45 member countries.
The release added that the two sides discussed areas of mutual cooperation, particularly in developing production, improving quality, and promoting sustainable consumption across the olive and dates sectors.
