Heavy Rain and Flash Floods Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, potentially leading to flash floods and accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, is forecasted for parts of Qassim, Riyadh, and Eastern regions. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in the Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary, being southwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly in the southern part, with speeds ranging from 20 to 55 km/h. Waves are anticipated to vary between one meter and two and a half meters, causing the sea to be calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be southeasterly to easterly at speeds between 12 and 50 km/h. The waves in this region may reach from half a meter to two and a half meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.
