ICAIRE Launches Interactive AI Glossary in Collaboration with Global Partners

General

Riyadh: The International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) announced the launch of an interactive edition of the Data and Artificial Intelligence Glossary. This initiative is in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). The launch aligns with World Arabic Language Day, celebrated annually on December 18.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the glossary is designed to preserve the Arabic language and enrich its digital content with technical terminology and concepts. It aims to raise awareness of modern concepts and facilitate information access for researchers and practitioners. By unifying technical terminology, the glossary supports the development of the digital economy and aids in building a sustainable knowledge-based future.

The interactive edition allows users to browse AI- and data-related terminology in Arabic, English, and French. Additionally, users can interact with the dictionary by adding terms in various dialects, which enhances knowledge exchange. This initiative aims to ensure the unification and integration of efforts among scientific and technical institutions at both regional and international levels. The dictionary features more than 1,200 technical terms.
