Ecuador city: Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa has announced the passing of former President Rodrigo Borja at the age of 90. Borja served as the nation’s leader from 1988 to 1992.
According to Saudi Press Agency, his presidency is remembered for a series of significant social and structural reforms aimed at addressing historical inequalities. Notably, his administration granted land titles for approximately one million hectares of land to various indigenous groups, a landmark move for land rights in the region. Additionally, Borja launched extensive literacy campaigns to improve educational access for the rural population.
